Alkagesta has completed its first truck-to-vessel marine fuel delivery in Constanța, Romania, supplying 50.164 metric tonnes of marine gasoil on 2 October 2026. According to the company’s announcement, two trucks carried the fuel, adding truck-to-vessel supply to its distribution capabilities in the Romanian market.
The company presented the delivery as another step in the development of its Romanian and wider Black Sea energy business. It said Romania had become increasingly important to its regional petroleum products and biofuels activities during 2026. The Constanța operation extends the delivery methods available within that business, alongside the company’s reported expansion into other European fuel markets.
Earlier in 2026, Alkagesta said it obtained access to the NATO Central Europe Pipeline System and began delivering Jet A1 to the European aviation market. Its announcement described those deliveries as taking place during a period of acute aviation fuel supply pressure. The company also said greater military use of the pipeline was making civilian fuel distribution more complex, placing its entry into that market against a challenging supply backdrop.
Alkagesta reported activity in crude oil and sustainable fuels alongside those refined product developments. It said its first crude transactions included end-to-end delivery of approximately 1.07 million barrels to the Far East. In European biofuels, the company secured a multi-year storage agreement at Pantank in Antwerp and a five-year used cooking oil feedstock offtake agreement, which it described as strengthening its position across the supply chain.
The announcement also cited the scale of Alkagesta’s Asian marine fuel business. Its Singapore hub reached monthly marine fuel trading volumes of approximately 250,000 metric tonnes during its first full year of operations, according to the company. Separately, Alkagesta said its fertiliser desk continued operating amid significant supply-chain disruption and food-security pressures in global agricultural markets. These activities formed the wider commercial context provided for the new Romanian delivery capability.
